There are basketball players and there IS Oscar Robertson. This season, however, Russell Westbrook is trying to get into the same sentence as the great Big O.
Robertson is the only NBA player to average a triple-double for the entire season doing over five decades ago; now, Westbrook is on pace to do that after going nuts against the New York Knicks.

Westbrook finished with 18 rebounds in the night and is now averaging 10.3 for the season. As Tim Cato of SB Nation noted, only Jason Kidd came super close to Robertson by averaging 13 points, 9.2 assists and 8.2 rebounds in 2006-07. LeBron James and James Harden are also close this season, but Westbrook might be just the one to do it.
Somebody’s going to be very salty. (Yep, I’m talking about Oscar.)
