The King is home and he ain’t going nowhere.
After bringing a title to Cleveland, like he promised, James told Cleveland.com Wednesday he plans to return.
“I love it here. I love being here. I love my teammates,” he told the website during the team’s victory parade. “Obviously my agent will take care of all the logistical things but, I’m happy. I’ve got no plans to go nowhere at this point.”
James has a one-year, $24 million player’s option on the table, which he will in all likelihood decline in order to get an upgraded salary from the team. But The King has no intention of going anywhere else this offseason, despite speculation this week from ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith that James could sign with the Lakers or Heat.
James did mention a “Dream Team” earlier this year, which included a team of himself Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony, but if that ever happens, it won’t be this upcoming season.
