Just another feather in the cap for LeBron James.
James, 32, has already cracked the top ten on the league’s career scoring list, and he is rapidly approaching the top ten in assists – he now sits only a couple of spots away.
On Saturday night during the Cavaliers match-up with the Washington Wizards in Cleveland, James surpassed former Philadelphia 76ers great Maurice Cheeks for 12th place on the NBA’s all-time assist list.

James now has 7,394 total assists in his career.
With 7,987 dimes, Rod Strickland – currently 11th all-time – is the next player in James’ sights on the league’s career assist list. With Strickland long retired, it is just a matter of time until James catches – and passes – him as well.
Assuming that he is able to stay healthy and relatively productive for a few more seasons, James will very likely leave the league as the only player in the top ten in both points and assists all-time.
Just throwing it out there, LeBron is also just 65 points away from passing Shaquille O’Neal in the all-time scoring list.
