Five of the NBA’s top eight prospects will take the floor in Memphis Friday night as powerhouses Kentucky and UCLA will vie for a spot at the Elite Eight.
ESPN’s Chad Ford ranked the top 25 NBA Draft prospects remaining in the NCAA Tournament and the Sweet 16 matchup between UK-UCLA will feature the majority.
UCLA freshman point guard Lonzo Ball checked in at No. 1, followed by Kentucky freshmen guards De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk at Nos. 3 and 4 respectively.
Bruins forward T.J. Leaf was No. 7 and Wildcats big man Bam Adebayo No. 8.
Josh Jackson of Kansas (No. 2), Lauri Markkanen of Arizona (No. 5), Zach Collins of Gonzaga (No. 6), Moritz Wagner of Michigan (No. 9) and Caleb Swanigan of Purdue (No. 10) rounded out the top 10.
UCLA freshman big man Ike Ike Anigbogu also came in at No. 12.
Fox and Monk are both projected as top-10 picks in this summer’s NBA Draft and after his late flourish, where he’s averaged a double-double during Kentucky’s current 13-game win streak, Adebayo has moved back into Ford’s top 20.
