Glory Johnson Upset At One-Game Suspension For Throwing Punch

Glory Johnson threw a punch in the Dallas Wings-Atlanta Dream game last Saturday and still has not finished swinging, this time against the league for the one game suspension the WNBA meted against her.

Johnson attempted to punch Dream guard Matee Avajon after Ajavon repeatedly tried grabbing at her throat, with no call from the officials. The punch didn’t land, but the play was stopped and Johnson has now been suspended for Wednesday’s game against Connecticut. There is no suspension for Avajon, and Johnson’s not happy about how the play was handled—which she made very clear in a series of Instagram posts today.
