Erik Spoelstra Loses It When Luol Deng Does Not Inbound The Ball

Here’s a very simple unwritten basketball rule: Make the simple play.

That’s probably what Erik Spoelstra is telling Luol Deng after the forward takes a little too much time inbounding the ball to an open teammate.

It appears Deng has his sights on the frontcourt, perhaps ready to make a home-run play, neglecting the wide open Chris Johnson in the backcourt. Or he could just be faking Kyle Lowry, who might make a run at a pass to Johnson. Whatever it was, it sure got Spoelstra so angry he did the Running Man challenge unintentionally.

Angry or not, it was irrelevant, for the Heat scored on that possession but can’t keep up with Toronto during the dying seconds. Series tied, 1-1.
