The series between the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors has already resulted in injuries to Kawhi Leonard and David Lee. Zaza Pachulia appearing to have intentionally tried to injure Kawhi Leonard in Game 1 of their Western Conference Finals series, Spurs big man LaMarcus Aldridge seemingly responded by also looking to pull the same move on Kevin Durant, by sliding his foot under him after a three-point attempt.
During the Game 3 on Saturday it’s clear that Dedmon takes a cheap shot directed at Curry’s knee, in the midst of setting a screen for his teammate on Stephen Curry from behind, blindsiding Curry.
Watching it live, it almost looks like Curry flopped after a routine screen. But the slow-mo shows Dedmon bending his knee solely to hit Curry’s. Or, maybe it’s some “natural knee bending motion.”
It’s also worth mentioning that’s the left knee of Curry. It’s the same knee Curry that has kept Curry out of a game in April.
So far, no word on whether the NBA will look into the incident and Curry was unharmed on the incident.
